Fiddlers Green Festival is proud to welcome one of Irelandâs leading traditional singers, DaoirĂ Farrell, to Rostrevor for a very special performance in An Cuan.
A product of Dublinâs renowned An GĂłilĂn Traditional Singers Club, DaoirĂ has become one of the most important voices in contemporary Irish folk music. Since launching his solo career at Celtic Connections in 2016, he has earned widespread acclaim for his powerful singing, masterful bouzouki playing, and deeply authentic interpretation of Irish traditional song.
An All-Ireland Champion Singer, DaoirĂ has received numerous nominations from both the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards and RTĂ Radio 1 Folk Awards, alongside recognition from audiences and critics throughout the folk music world. His music has drawn praise from legendary figures including Christy Moore, who remarked that âDaoirĂ has assumed the mantle of Luke Kelly,â while broadcaster Mark Radcliffe simply described him as âWhat a voice.â
