Sunday 19th July 2026 | 4:00pm | An Cuan, Rostrevor

Fiddlers Green Festival is honoured to welcome one of Ireland’s most celebrated songwriters, Eleanor McEvoy, for a very special afternoon concert in An Cuan.

Best known for writing A Woman’s Heart, the title track of the best-selling Irish album of all time, Eleanor has spent decades establishing herself as one of the most distinctive and respected voices in contemporary Irish music. Her songs, rich in honesty, emotion, and storytelling, continue to resonate with audiences around the world and across generations.

A graduate of Trinity College Dublin with an honours degree in music, Eleanor began her career as a violinist with the National Symphony Orchestra before leaving the classical world behind to pursue songwriting and performance full time. Since then, she has built an acclaimed international career spanning sixteen albums, performances worldwide, and collaborations with many of Ireland’s leading artists.

Her songs have been recorded by performers including Emmylou Harris, Mary Black, Mary Coughlan, Phil Coulter, Eliza Carthy, and Saint Sister, while her music continues to reach new audiences through television and film, most recently featuring in the acclaimed series Derry Girls.

Eleanor’s most recent album, Gimme Some Wine, further showcases her gift for lyrical storytelling and melodic songwriting, combining deeply personal reflection with warmth, wit, and emotional depth.

Audiences at Fiddlers Green Festival can expect an intimate and unforgettable performance from one of Ireland’s finest singer-songwriters.
