Fiddlers Green Festival is honoured to welcome one of Ireland’s most respected and enduring songwriters, Luka Bloom, to Rostrevor for a very special evening of music and storytelling.
From his early beginnings as Barry Moore in the 1970s to becoming Luka Bloom in 1987, his remarkable musical journey has taken him across Ireland, Europe, the United States, and Australia, performing at some of the world’s most renowned festivals including Glastonbury, Newport Folk Festival, Cambridge Folk Festival, Pinkpop, and Roskilde.
Known for his powerful live performances, heartfelt songwriting, and masterful guitar playing, Luka Bloom has built a devoted international following through songs that combine honesty, humanity, humour, and deep emotional connection. Albums such as Riverside, The Acoustic Motorbike, and Turf helped establish him as one of the defining voices in contemporary Irish folk music.
Now celebrating more than fifty years of songwriting, Luka continues to create and evolve. His recent release A Second Wind captures the beauty and stillness of the landscape around his home in County Clare, presenting a collection of intimate recordings centred around voice, guitar, and reflection.
Audiences at Fiddlers Green Festival can expect an unforgettable concert filled with stories, songs, laughter, and moments of quiet brilliance from one of Ireland’s true musical treasures.
