Fiddlers Green Festival is delighted to welcome two of Ireland’s most celebrated traditional musicians, Laoise Kelly and Tiarnán Ó Duinnchinn, for a special afternoon concert in An Cuan.
Widely regarded as one of the most important harpers of her generation, Laoise Kelly has redefined the role of the harp in contemporary Irish traditional music through her distinctive driving style, inventive arrangements, and extraordinary musicianship. Originally from Westport, Co. Mayo and now based on Achill Island, Laoise has performed and collaborated extensively across Ireland and internationally, while also directing major musical projects and festivals including the Achill International Harp Festival.
Joining her is acclaimed Monaghan uilleann piper Tiarnán Ó Duinnchinn, whose precise, expressive, and inventive playing has earned widespread recognition throughout the traditional music world. Renowned for both his technical mastery and musical sensitivity, Tiarnán’s performances combine power, subtlety, and deep connection to the piping tradition.
Together, Laoise Kelly and Tiarnán Ó Duinnchinn create a rich and captivating musical partnership, blending harp and uilleann pipes in performances filled with warmth, energy, rhythm, and musical conversation.
