DESCRIPTION:Saturday 18th July 2026 | 1:00pm | An Cuan\, Rostrevor\nFiddlers Green Festival is delighted to present a special afternoon concert featuring three exceptional musicians from the worlds of Irish traditional and contemporary acoustic music — Eimear McGeown\, Rita Farrell\, and Sinéad Egan. \nInternationally acclaimed flautist Eimear McGeown has established herself as one of the world’s most versatile performers across both classical and Irish flute traditions. Her remarkable career has taken her to prestigious stages throughout Europe\, Asia\, and the Americas\, including performances at BBC’s Last Night of the Proms\, Carnegie Hall in New York\, and the Library of Congress in Washington D.C. \nJoining Eimear is acclaimed London-born uilleann piper Rita Farrell\, whose deep connection to Irish traditional music has earned her recognition both in Ireland and internationally. An accomplished flute and piano player as well as an award-winning piper\, Rita’s expressive musicianship and mastery of the pipes have made her a highly respected figure within the traditional music community. \nCompleting the trio is guitarist\, pianist\, and singer-songwriter Sinéad Egan\, whose musical upbringing between London and Ireland immersed her in Irish traditional music from an early age. Influenced by legendary accompanists such as Kevin Taylor and Paddy Gallagher\, Sinéad has developed a distinctive and sensitive style that beautifully complements traditional and contemporary song alike. \nTogether\, these three outstanding performers promise an afternoon of exceptional musicianship\, rich collaboration\, and captivating traditional music in the intimate surroundings of An Cuan.

DESCRIPTION:Saturday 18th July 2026 | 7:30pm | St Bronagh’s Social Club\, Rostrevor\nFiddlers Green Festival is honoured to welcome Lúnasa\, one of the most influential and celebrated bands in the history of Irish traditional music\, for a very special Hall of Fame concert in Rostrevor. \nFormed in 1997 and named after the ancient Celtic harvest festival honouring the god Lugh\, Lúnasa emerged from members of some of Ireland’s most iconic traditional groups and quickly established themselves as a revolutionary force within contemporary folk music. Combining complex arrangements\, exceptional musicianship\, and a dynamic rhythmic energy\, the band redefined the possibilities of traditional Irish music for a global audience. \nOver nearly three decades\, Lúnasa have sold more than a quarter of a million records and performed over 2\,500 concerts across 36 countries\, appearing at prestigious venues and festivals including Carnegie Hall\, The Hollywood Bowl\, Glastonbury Festival\, and Bercy Arena in Paris. Their collaborations with artists such as Natalie Merchant\, Mary-Chapin Carpenter\, and Tim O’Brien further expanded their international reach while maintaining a deep connection to the Irish tradition. \nThe current lineup features an extraordinary collection of musicians including Trevor Hutchinson\, Cillian Vallely\, Kevin Crawford\, Seán Smyth\, Colin Farrell\, and Ed Boyd — each recognised internationally for their contribution to Irish traditional music. \nThis concert also marks a significant occasion for the festival as Lúnasa become the 2026 recipients of the prestigious Fiddlers Green Festival Hall of Fame Award.
