Fiddlers Green Festival is honoured to welcome Dana, born Rosemary Brown in Islington and raised in Derry, Northern Ireland, into her musical homecoming in Rostrevor . A classically trained musician in piano, guitar, and violin, she originally planned a career teaching music and literature—but in 1970, as a schoolgirl, Dana forever changed Irish music history. Representing Ireland in Eurovision with the song “All Kinds of Everything”, she claimed the nation’s first victory at the contest. The heartfelt ballad topped charts across Europe, held the No. 1 spot in Ireland and the UK, and sold over two million copies .
Following her win, Dana launched a successful career with chart-topping secular and sacred recordings, BBC TV series, and international tours. In 1978 she married hotelier Damien Scallon, and the couple settled in Rostrevor before moving to the United States in 1991. Despite her global presence, she has always maintained strong connections to County Down, and this year she’s thrilled to return to Fiddlers Green once more.
